Legends say that once, long ago, in a time of magic, the ancient ones ruled our world as gods. Then, four thousand years ago, a group of Egyptian wizards tricked the ancient ones,
using the last of our world’s magic to seal the portals between our world and the dark universe.
The legends also say that while these portals still exist, those ancient seals will fade in time, allowing the ancient ones to reemerge. However, these portals still occasionally
open, allowing humans to cross over into the dark universe on nights like tonight when our worlds briefly align.
Sadly, the legends also say that in their final moments before their banishment from our world, the ancient ones put a magical curse on the portals, using the portal’s mystical power
to instinctively draw beautiful young women to seek out their own gruesomely horrifying deaths. The urge to step through the portal, like the open one behind me, becomes irresistible,
even knowing the legends say that beautiful women have always been, and will forever be, the favorite food of the gods...
